In 1999, Peter Miethig embarked on his musical journey alongside his friend Simon Fischer, composing and producing tracks together. Their collaboration led to the digital release of “4 My Sleepless Friend” on the SA-UK Musik label, marking the beginning of their musical venture. The duo’s first official single under the project name “STONEPROPHET,” titled “Timetraveller,” was later released on Media Records/ZYX, gaining attention within the trance community. Another significant milestone came with the release of “Evangelion” on Maximal Recordings, curated by Tillmann Uhrmacher, which earned placement on various compilations, including Gary D Trance 38. Since 2008, they’ve continued to make waves in the trance scene with numerous remixes and original releases featured on esteemed labels and compilations like Dream Dance. Their work has received support from renowned DJs such as Armin Van Buuren & Ruben De Ronde, Paul Van Dyk, Aly & Fila, and Paul Oakenfold, among others. In 2021, Fischer & Miethig expanded their musical endeavors by founding the sublabel “State Soundscapes Records” under the umbrella of “State Control Records,” further solidifying their presence in the industry.
