James Dust, born in Münster, Germany in 1978, has been living by the electrifying motto “Trance & Souls” ever since his passion for music ignited at the age of 15. From the moment he first laid hands on a turntable, a journey began that would see him transform from a young enthusiast in local youth clubs to a magnetic presence in Germany’s top nightspots. By 18, James was already captivating crowds in renowned clubs like 360 Grad, Twister Dance, Galaxy, Bam Bu, Jovel, Haverkamp, and Depot.

His distinctive sound soon crossed borders, earning him international gigs in England, Australia, Switzerland, and more. A defining moment in 2006 saw James sharing the stage with trance heavyweights Alex Morph and Cosmic Gate. This experience deepened his love for trance music, driving him to commit wholeheartedly to the genre.

Driven by a desire to connect deeply with his audience, James began crafting his own melodies. His evolution through Handsup, Hardstyle, and Uplifting Trance culminated in a focus on the latter, resulting in a string of hits like “Skyfall,” “Watching the Waves,” “Daylight,” and “Bagged.” These tracks have garnered acclaim and support from trance luminaries such as Giuseppe Ottaviani, Talla 2XLC, Madwave, Jorn van Deynhoven, Andrew Rayel, Yoshi & Razner, XiJaro & Pitch, Sean Tyas, Manuel Le Saux, Chris Element, Antonio Devini, and many more.

In 2016, leveraging his rich experience as a DJ and producer, James founded his own brand, Daybreakerz. This venture represents the culmination of his musical journey, embodying his passion for trance and his commitment to touching souls through the power of music.
